For the entire month of November, the Eagles of Character trait was “Gratitude.” Students are given guidance lessons from counselors and asked to show acts of gratitude in order to receive this award from their teachers. In addition to their acts of gratitude, students were also given the opportunity to write letters to their family members, friends, and staff expressing their thankfulness and appreciation towards those who have impacted their life in some way, shape, or form. The number of letters the staff received excelled and surpassed our expectations, by far!
November 15th is National Educational Support Professionals Day. Our student body wrote letters of gratitude to our custodians, secretaries, teaching assistants, and cafeteria staff. All of us at Summit are extremely proud of our Eagles and wanted to share this amazing experience with our community and parents. It’s small acts of kindness like this that prove Summit is educating and building strong students, children, and citizens!
