Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
Purpose:
To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life. To strengthen the function of the family as a basic unit of society. To prepare for the multiple roles of men and women in today’s society.

STAR event competitors Mary Lollar and Cheyenne Blackshire received 3rd place at FCCLA Regional STAR Event competitions in the event Focus on Children.

Musical Productions and School Play
Purpose:
Summit’s Musical Productions class is the perfect place for students who love acting, singing, and dancing. Students have the opportunity to learn more about musical theater productions while putting on a production. Seventh grade students perform a series of pieces from several well-known musicals, while eighth grade students put on a full-length musical.

Technology Student Association (TSA)
Purpose:
We are a student lead STEM organization for 6-8th grade students. We attend regional and state level competitions. We spend time researching, planning and working on our projects. We are the future engineers, scientists, mathematicians, technologist, computer scientists and business leaders of the modern world.

Every Tuesday after school, 2:45-3:30
Recognitions:
2019-2020 TSA was awarded 32 medals/trophies over four mini conferences and a regional competition. 8th grader, Lilian Du, was elected Western Regional President. Additionally, Summit had three 8th grade students were TSA Congressional Degree Recipients and three three were Senatorial Degree Recipients
