Help support Summit classrooms and students by participating in our school fundraiser! Packets will be sent home with students on Sept. 4th, and all students have the opportunity to receive a prize for participating! Students can sign up using the QR code and entering group code SUMM28 or by texting SUMM28 to 74590. Items will be delivered on Oct. 10th, which is one of our Parent/Teacher Conference Days!
No School on September 2nd for Labor Day and September 3rd for Staff Professional Development. School resumes on September 4th!
Eagles will begin their week with Aimsweb Fall Benchmark testing in reading and math. Students need to charge their chromebooks and are allowed to bring headphones to use if they would like. The reading test will be held on Monday, August 26th , and the math test will follow on Tuesday, August 27th.
Join us on August 26th from 6-8pm for Open House! You will have the opportunity to meet your student's teachers and hear more information about the classes your student is taking this semester. We hope you will be able to attend this informative event!
Smile Eagles! Picture Day is Friday, August 23rd. Picture packets will be sent home this week if you would like to order pictures.
First Day of School - August 15th!
Doors open at 7:10 am, school starts at 7:40 am, and school ends at 2:20 pm.
Wolf Wars is a fun way to celebrate the start of school! Gates open at 8:00am and tickets are just $5 per person. Enjoy food trucks, a bounce house, Kona Ice, community booths, and free games while you cheer on our Summit Eagles when they take the field at 10:00am! Go Eagles!
2024 Schedule Release
Student Schedule Digital Release Dates:
1st Release - Aug 7th after 5:00pm,
2nd Release - Aug 9th after 5:00pm
Parent & Student "Walk Your Schedule" Dates:
Aug 10th from 8:00am - 11:00am and
Aug 13th from 4:00pm -7:00pm
The following must be completed in order to receive your student's digital schedule for the 2024-2025 school year: complete annual update, submit Tdap records (incoming 7th grade), all 2023-2024 school fines paid, and submit a July/August utility bill to summit.middleschool@edmondschools.net.
Attention parents of football, softball, and volleyball athletes! Join us for a parent meeting on August 8th at 6pm in the Summit Cafeteria to get more information about these Fall sports! We look forward to seeing you there!
We can't wait to meet all of our new eagles on Monday, August 5th, for Camp Summit!
Student drop off will be at the main gym at 5pm. Student pick up will be at the front of the school at 6:45pm.
FAQs:
1. Do we need to bring school supplies? No, your student can bring those on the first day of school.
2. What should my student wear? Comfortable clothing and shoes! We will be playing games and walking around the school.
3. Where is the parent meeting? We will meet with new-to-Summit families in the cafeteria at 6pm.
4. What is Camp Summit? A FUN opportunity for your student to meet other students and teachers! We will talk through the Eagle Essentials and what to do on the first day of school. You don't want to miss it!
Incoming 6th Grade Eagles - Mark your calendars now and plan to attend Camp Summit on August 5th! You will get to tour the building, meet some of your teachers, and get more information about what it means to be an Eagle! We look forward to seeing you there!

🔔 Parents/guardians will need to complete an Annual Update for the 2024-2025 school year by logging into the Parent Portal (not the Campus Parent app). Upon login, scroll down and select “More” in the lower left corner of your portal screen, then select “Online Registration,” then select “Start” on the “2024-2025 Existing Student Annual Update.” You will verify your existing information and make any needed changes. The Annual Update must be completed for your student(s) to receive their 2024-2025 schedule or homeroom teacher/classroom placement.

OSTP Testing begins this week! Set your student up for success by making sure they get plenty of sleep, eat a quality breakfast, and arrive at school on time! Testing will take place on Chromebooks, so don't forget to charge them each night! Eagles RISE!
Congratulations to Pavithra Raghavendiran who was recently inducted into the American Association of University Women Girls' Hall of Honor. Each year AAUW selects one 7th grader from each Edmond middle school for this honor and we are proud of Pavithra for representing Summit so well. #SummitEaglesRISE

Because of icy and dangerous road conditions, Edmond Public Schools will move to remote learning for all schools for Monday, January 22nd. Students should refer to information sent by their school site for assignments that will need to be completed for attendance to be counted.
